Step 3. Review results

Why?

Checking the ranking ensures that it reflects reality and does not reproduce gender bias.

How?

  • Sum up the points and rank the jobs based on the result. ‘Tool 4 – Supporting Excel (small and medium-sized organisations)’ will help you with this.
  • Check the ranking against the job profiles.
  • Look for patterns. Are women-dominated jobs systematically ranked lower? Flag this and review, as it may suggest some work demands may be under-recognised.
  • Revisit ‘close call’ comparisons if necessary to recheck the reasoning behind the decision.
  • Document all decisions and revisions for transparency, including what was checked and any issues found.

Checklist

  • The points total has been calculated correctly.

  • Rankings have been checked for gender bias.

  • Documented reasons have been included for all key decisions.
