Step 4. Add up the results
Why?
Once you have assigned a level to each subfactor for all your jobs, it’s time to bring it all together. A tally of results produces a simple, transparent ranking.
How?
- Take the levels you have assigned for each subfactor.
- Add them up to create a total score for the job. Tool 3 – Supporting Excel (micro-organisations) will do this for you.
- Repeat this for all jobs in your organisation.
- Compare the total scores in order to create a simple ranking.
Adding up the levels shows you the overall value of each job. This gives a clear picture of the relative value of jobs across your organisation.
