Why?

Jobs with similar scores should be considered jobs of equal value in your organisation and placed in the same grade for pay purposes.

How?

• Look at the total scores for each job calculated by ‘Tool 5 – Supporting Excel (standard approach)’.
• See how the jobs are grouped based on their total score.
• Check for patterns, for example, are women-dominated or man-dominated jobs concentrated in specific groups? Flag this and review, as it may suggest that some work demands are under-recognised.
