Purpose of the job role. This role provides high-quality nursing care to patients, supervises assistant nurses and ensures that clinical standards, infection control and patient well-being are maintained.
Key responsibilities. This role delivers specialised nursing care; supervises and supports assistant nurses; liaises with doctors, administrative workers and technicians to coordinate patient care; ensures compliance with health and safety protocols; provides emotional support to patients and families; mentors and trains new nursing workers and students; and maintains accurate and confidential patient records.
Requirements. This role requires making timely decisions in fast-changing clinical situations; communicating clearly and with empathy with patients, families and workers; maintaining resilience when managing patient suffering and family distress; coordinating worker rotas; and managing resources and workloads across shifts effectively.
Environment. This role includes daily physical effort, including lifting or repositioning patients, prolonged standing, emotionally charged situations and shift work including evenings, weekends and occasional emergencies.
Basic salary and complementary and variable pay components. Compensation includes a basic salary of EUR 5 019 per month, health insurance, a professional development budget, a staff-mentoring allowance, 25 days annual leave and overtime pay for emergency shifts.
