Tool 2: Attracting institutional support and engagement

The first step for a successful gender-responsive evaluation is mobilising institutional support and engaging your colleagues in this task.

You need to make sure you have enough resources, both financial and human, to carry out a gender-responsive evaluation.

Engage the right people to make sure you get buy-in for your evaluation approach and the findings of your work.

This tool consists of two steps:

  1. aligning with the EU and/or national policy frameworks and getting the basics right using this toolkit,
  2. securing support and resources.
