Il se traduit par la recherche d'une proximité avec la victime gravement préjudiciable pour le mode de vie de la personne et générant, directement, indirectement ou virtuellement, détresse, peur ou nuisance chez la personne visée. Il peut notamment se produire en établissant un contact par tous les moyens, par un usage inapproprié des données à caractère personnel de la victime à des fins de commande de biens et services, ou en poussant des tiers à entrer en contact avec la victime, en la menaçant ou en menaçant un de ses proches.
