  • Gender Equality Academy | Online Training - Understanding and facilitating change for gender equality in research and the academia

  • Orange the World 2020

    On 25 November, EIGE will mark the beginning of the annual awareness-raising campaign ‘Orange the World’ to end violence against women and girls. By promising to never commit, condone, or remain silent about violence against women, we can bring change. From 25 November until Human Rights Day on 10 December, EIGE will run the ‘16 days of activism against gender-based violence' campaign on its social media channels (Facebook / Twitter / LinkedIn / YouTube).

  • Regional workshop on Strengthening data systems on Violence Against Women for Europe and Central Asian countries

    The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) and the UN Women Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia and the UNFPA Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Office are convening a Joint Regional workshop on Strengthening data systems on Violence Against Women (VAW), which will take place virtually from 7 to 9 December 2020. The workshop is aimed at sharing knowledge, experiences and lessons learned on building synergies on VAW measurements across countries in the region.

    A warm welcome to the Digital Conference on Gender Equality in European Culture as part of the German EU Council Presidency by the German Cultural Council This conference will use the conclusions of the German EU Council Presidency "gender equality in the field of culture" to continue discussing the topic within the European professional public. Particularly, individuals will be included in panels and workshops who work towards implementing measures for greater gender equality in European cultural and civic institutions.

  • 11th Regional Coordination Meeting of EU candidate countries and potential candidates

    This meeting is organised under EIGE’s cooperation with the Western Balkans and Turkey within the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) of the European Union and is funded by the European Commission. The aim of the meeting is to gather stakeholders from the region to discuss the gender equality activities in 2020, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, future priorities and main challenges.
