The objective of the event are:

  1. Discuss how the just transition is an essential and accelerating path for the reindustrialization of Europe, within a framework of climate neutrality by 2030 and the Paris Agreement
  2. Advance in best practices so that the clean energy transition process does not leave anyone behind and advances in social justice.
  3. Sharing experiences and fostering an open dialogue on both issues to identify some recommendations for the future on the design, implementation and monitoring of the just transition in Europe.
  4. Promote and support the involvement of civil society to generate consensus for the green transition.
  5. Foster dialogue with other countries embarking on a path similar to that of the EU in terms of climate ambition and just transition.

Researcher Blandine Mollard will represent EIGE in this event.
