Consultation meeting on risk assessment by the police of intimate partner violence against women

The 2nd experts consultation meeting on risk assessment and risk management by the police of intimate partner violence will contribute to the development of a more homogenous approach towards risk assessment and management among Member States.

The aim of the meeting is to review and comment on EIGE’s newly drafted:

• guidelines for risk assessment 
• recommendations on risk management of intimate partner violence against women for the police.

The guidelines and recommendations aim to help the Member States in meeting their legal commitments to the European legal and policy framework and to the Istanbul Convention. Additionally, they will contribute to a robust and coordinated approach to combatting violence against women, particularly intimate partner violence.
