By adopting this resolution enacted in 2012, the government made the adoption of gender equality plans clearly mandatory for all the state-owned companies, after the required diagnosis/gender audit, and followed by a full monitoring process and report to the government member responsible for gender equality (every 6 months). It also states that in all private companies with public capital, the state must recommend to the private shareholders the adoption of gender equality policies. The adoption of action plans as well as self-regulation measures are also recommended to all the publicly listed companies.
