The provision of child care services in the UK

This report provides an analysis of developments in pre-school childcare provision in the UK. It evaluates the availability, quality, flexibility and affordability of childcare services and summarises related reconciliation measures which have an impact on the demand for childcare services. It also summarises the evidence on parental attitudes towards using formal childcare services and provides information on national child care policy and financing.
