Paths and mechanisms for career of men and women, interest and job satisfaction, leadership styles, family behavior and opinions on equal opportunities are analyzed, with both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, in a leading sector of the post-Fordist (radio Rai). A complex framework in which gender differences are significant and tend to go in addition to differences of class and generation. Occupational segregation is less strong than in the past, but remains difficult for women to reach the top of the company. In Rai, public radio broadcast, it is compounded by the importance, in terms of career, of mechanisms of political co-optation, an area in which women move with greater difficulties than men.
