The handbook is an introduction to the principles of promoting gender equality. It will give an overview of the main ideas of gender mainstreaming, as well as of the implementation of the strategy, the specific instruments that can be used in the daily work. This handbook was developed as part of the project "gender mainstreaming the new Member States’ in Estonia, Poland and Hungary in 2005.
