Awards for positive and negative examples of gender roles in the media
Women in the Media Association gave out awards between 2007 and 2010. They gave one award to a female media personality who provided a positive example through her work, one award for a positive media product (for example magazine or catalogue), and one "negative award" for a person or company who promotes incorrect women's portrayal.

Results and impact
Some of the awarded persons and companies took pride in receiving the positive awards and mentioned that fact in the media as well.
