Violence Against Women and Girls

This needs assessment was initiated following the development of three National Strategies; the Home Offices December 2009 Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy, the publication of the Mayor of London’s ‘The Way Forward’ paper in April 2009 and the December 2008 publication of the Conservative parties ‘Ending Violence Against Women Strategy’. FGM is specified in the document, and includes an assessment of the extent of FGM in Westminster council as well as an evaluation of the FGM specialist clinics serving the area
