Experts’ consultation meeting Beyond Beijing +25: Recommendations for Action, 7 May 2019, Vilnius

The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) supports the Presidencies of the Council of the EU in preparing reports to monitor the Beijing Platform for Action (BPfA) in the EU. For the forthcoming Finnish Presidency (2nd semester, 2019), EIGE will develop a report to review the implementation of the BPfA in the EU since its adoption 25 years ago.

EIGE is calling a meeting of experts to consult on policy recommendations emerging from this report. Focus will be placed on engaging relevant experts across the 12 BPfA areas of concern to ensure the high quality and political relevance of proposed actions. Main findings from the research and a preliminary list of recommendations will be shared with the experts and their feedback will be sought to define the final policy recommendations.
