Family and Childcare Trust
Family and Childcare Trust is a charity formed from the merger of the Daycare Trust and the Family and Parenting Institute, which occured on 1 January 2013. It is a research-led charity with over 40 years’ experience of campaigning and research into family life. They support the wellbeing of families in the UK by identifying and alleviating the pressures on family life and childcare, and campaigning for a more family friendly UK. They aim to relieve the pressures on family life through four main areas of work: i) by carrying out research to understand the realities of family life and childcare; ii) by campaigning for positive change in policy and with employers to make life easier for families; iii) by providing practical advice to families to find the right childcare and access local services and iv) by exploring new ways to design services that support families.
