The Gender equality policy framework programme identifies the priority areas of the Senate of Berlin regarding gender equality measures, and it stipulates that plans are to be developed for the implementation of the programme in each policy area. Furthermore, it lists already existing guidelines on the implementation of gender mainstreaming in different areas of public administration and establishes a duty to use them. It also includes provisions on how to implement and improve gender budgeting procedures.
