Aims and objectives
The aim of GIA in Extremadura is to revise some types of norms and policies (laws, regulations, orders, plans and recruitment norms) from a gender perspective before they are approved by the government. It represents hence and ex-ante evaluation of public policies.

Contents/activities/services
Law 1/2002 and Law 8/2011 established that all laws, regulations, orders, plans and recruitment norms must be accompanied by a GIA. In 2010, a guideline was published in order to help on the drafting of the GIA.
