Creating enabling environment for the effective implementation of the LPADV, including through the method of the Coordinated community response/CCR/
The activities included:
- training events in 12 municipalities for different sectors and municipal governments on aspects regarding DV.
- Seminars on the CCR method, conducted in 12 locations – among others, Burgas, Haskovo, Dimitrovgrad, Gorna Oryahovitza, Etropole, Breznik – with respective meetings with local authorities.
- seminars with some business representatives to raise awareness about the need for sustainability of protection measures for victims of domestic violence in all locations of the project.
The two day training addressed different issues, such as coordinated community response model, police structures and response, the role of social services, lawyers and judges, funding for NGOs.In the course of the training, the representatives of the different sectors were brought together to work on common cases and prepared a mapping of the stakeholders in their communities.
Aims and objectives
To improve the implementation of the law through the application of the CCR, training of professionals, providing interdisciplinary services/ legal and socio- psychological counseling./, and ensuring financial sustainability of these services
Results and impact
The activities were monitored by BGFR, project partners and representatives from the Advoates for Human Rights, which were published in a report 2008.
