The conference on “Feminist Legacies - Feminist Futures” organized by ATGENDER, the European Association for Gender Research, Education and Documentation, provided a platform for establishing contacts with relevant stakeholders within the fields of gender & women’s studies, documentation centres, feminist research and gender equality in Europe.

Workshops on various themes involving around 200 participants from all over the Europe were organised during the conference. The participants brought their interest in research, documentation, activism, gender policies and professional development. During the workshop sessions the participants explored cooperation schemes, within ATGENDER and with EIGE.

EIGE's participation

The Institute collected valuable advice and suggestions on the cooperation with the established documentation centres on gender/women’s issues in Europe and on the development of EIGE’s Resource and Documentation Centre (RDC). The idea to organise an experts’ working group meeting at EIGE to discuss the Institute’s cooperation with the established resource and documentation centres in Europe was proposed and discussed.

EIGE also established contacts with ATGENDER association: researchers, research centres, universities, teachers, students, documentalists, knowledge/research centres and activists.
