The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) is organising the Journalist Task Force meeting on two important topics that EIGE is working on: 1) Women and Economy and 2) Female Genital Mutilation that will take place on the 10-11 April 1012 in Copenhagen.

The meeting is addressed to journalists, media representatives and communications experts from a number of EU Member States and Croatia that are working with Communication or Gender Equality in many different forms and aspects.

The Danish Presidency of the Council of Ministers has its focus on “Women and Economy. Gender Equality and Climate Change”. During the meeting, the main findings within the area will be present. A dialogue on what additional stories to be developed from the report will also commence.

EIGE’s work on work with Female Genital Mutilation, FGM will be presented. EIGE is currently working on a report that was requested by EU Commissioner Vivian Reading. The report should be ready later in the year. Additionally the meeting's agenda offers a unique opportunity to be a part of our network of Media-expert cross the 27 Member States.
