The Working Group on Gender Equality of the EU Audiovisual Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee is organising a working seminar on addressing issues on gender equality within the audiovisual sector in the EU. The discussions will be focused on presenting and analysing the implementation of the Framework of Actions on Gender Equality, adopted by the EU AV SDC in October 2011. Representatives of different media organisations and journalists will present their efforts in improving gender equality and several experts will present the results of their studies.
The European Institute for Gender Equality will be participate and present the results of its report on ‘Advancing gender equality in decision-making in media organisations’ and several other projects carried out in relation to this topic.
