  • EIGE's indicators on intimate partner violence, rape and femicide: EU state of play

    According to a 2014 study by the Fundamental Rights Agency, 31 % of women in the European Union have experienced physical violence by either a partner or a non-partner since the age of 15, and 7 % of women experienced physical violence by anyone in the 12 months before the survey interview. Given the size of the phenomenon, gender-based violence has far-reaching, harmful consequences for many families and communities.

  • Assistant to the Director’s Secretariat

    The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE)[1] is organising a call for applications with a view to establishing a reserve list for the post of Assistant to the Director’s Secretariat. The registration of applications will begin on 1 September 2021 and will close on 30 September 2021 at 13:00 Eastern European Time. The Institute Based in Vilnius, Lithuania, EIGE is a decentralised agency of the European Union (EU) entrusted with specific objectives envisaged to contribute and strengthen the promotion of gender equality.

  • Gender equality and gender mainstreaming in the COVID-19 recovery

    The European Institute for Gender Equality, the regulatory agency of the European Union, is planning to award the contract resulting from the above procurement procedure. The overall objective of the study is to assess the EU recovery response to the COVID-19 pandemic from a gender perspective. The specific objectives are: Specific objective 1: to provide a general gender assessment of the RRF regulation and to identify opportunities and challenges for gender equality and gender mainstreaming within the established RRF framework (a legal case);

  • Survey of gender gaps in unpaid care, individual and social activities

    The European Institute for Gender Equality, the regulatory agency of the European Union, is planning to award the contract resulting from the above procurement procedure. The overall objective of the study is to fill in data gaps in the EU policy priority area by collecting EU wide survey data on gender gaps in unpaid care, individual and social activities. The specific objectives are:

  • Procurement Assistant

  • Traineeships – Gender Equality (Operations Unit)

    The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE)[1] announces traineeship opportunities lasting up to six months[2] for graduates who are either nationals of an EU Member State or an EFTA country or an IPA qualifying country[3]. The traineeships are based at the Institute's premises in Vilnius, Lithuania. The registration of applications will begin on 19 July 2021 and will close on 9 September 2021 at 13:30, Eastern European Time (EET).

  • Traineeships (Knowledge Management and Communications Unit)

    The European Institute for Gender Equality[1] (EIGE) announces traineeship opportunities in its Knowledge Management & Communications Unit lasting six months[2] for graduates who are either nationals of an EU Member State or an EFTA country or an IPA qualifying country[3]. The traineeships are based at the Institute's premises in Vilnius, Lithuania. The traineeship will offer the possibility to university graduates in areas such as communications, public relations, international studies, European studies, politics, social policy or similar to gain experience in the work of the EU in general and in the work of EIGE in particular.

  • Ex-ante publicity notice for procurement procedure (€15 000.01- € 60 000.00) Revision of EIGE’s Activity-Based Budgeting Tool

    Description of the contract The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) envisages awarding a low-value contract for the revision of the Activity-Based Budgeting Tool. Description of the requested services The contractor shall assist the Institute to redesign the current ABB tool and create full functionalities of activity-based management, namely, activity-based budgeting and activity-based costing. This would enable EIGE to not only plan resources, but also monitor and measure their use in the implementation of the Single Programming Document.

  • Ex-ante publicity notice for procurement procedure (€60,000.01 - € 139,000.00): ‘Provision of HR legal services to the European Institute for Gender Equality and its staff members‘’

    Description of the contract: The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) envisages awarding two framework contracts for provision of HR legal services to the European Institute for Gender Equality (Lot 1) and for provision of legal consultation services on local civil law matters (Lot 2). Description of the requested services: The objectives of the framework contracts are the provision of professional and timely legal support in the area of EU employment law in the context of the Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Union and Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Union (CEOS), implementing rules and HR policies;
