EIGE seeks to conclude a framework contract with company/ies capable of providing a wide range of services related to the strategic development of EIGE’s Communications Lab (Comms Lab) project including collection of evidence on effective communication around gender equality, building platform for exchange & learning, and development of recommendations. 

Through a Comms Lab approach, EIGE aims to foster an open, data-driven learning approach. Expert communicators can bring their specialist and on-the-ground experience to build mutual learning for better communication on gender equality topics.

Objectives of the Comms Lab:

  • Better understand the evolving communications environment and gender equality conversations, including the anti-gender narratives and backlash against gender equality.
  • Foster evidence-based approaches to advance gender equality communication, e.g., through audience segmentation, message testing and applied behavioural analytics.
  • Support EIGE and its key stakeholders in broadening knowledge and skills on ways to communicate gender equality in a persuasive, value-based manner, including responses to/ setting one’s own narrative vis a vis gendered disinformation and improved understanding of key audiences.
  • Build a community of practice and provide a platform for exchanges, learning, and the joint testing of communication approaches. 

The contractor is expected to provide advice and support and deliver the following type of services:

  1. Support in strategic development of Communications Lab project
  2. Selection of examples of inspiring communication campaigns on gender equality
  3. Support to evidence-based communication approaches
  4. Facilitation of exchange of expertise and experiences
