This policy brief provides a gender analysis of the European Commission’s proposal for the EU’s next long-term budget, the multiannual financial framework (MFF) for 2028–2034 (European Commission, 2025a).
It aims to support the actors involved in interinstitutional negotiations with research-based recommendations on how to make gender equality and gender mainstreaming integral to the MFF and its funding instruments.
