Description

This project was built on the ongoing support EIGE provides to EU Member States in collecting data on gender-based violence. The study assessed the progress EU Member States have made on collecting data on intimate partner violence, rape and femicide, as per EIGE’s country-specific recommendations published in 2018.

As part of the project, EIGE developed a classification system on femicide. The aim of the project was to improve the comparability of data on the various types of gender-based violence to help policymakers assess the scale of the problem and design suitable responses.

The results were published in 2021.
