Youth
Young people are a priority for the European Union. Equal opportunities in education and the labour market are necessary for a smooth transition from childhood into adulthood. Yet young women and men in the EU continue to encounter gendered challenges, from gender stereotypes in entry-level jobs to the dangers of cyber violence. A gender-sensitive youth policy addresses these different challenges through listening to the needs of young people.
