EIGE’s Research and Statistics Team Leader, Jolanta Reingarde, presents EIGE’s insights on sexual harassment as a form of sexual violence in the Lithuanian Parliament to mark Denim Day.

Organised by the local CSO Ribologija, the event aims to raise awareness of sexual violence, challenge victim-blaming attitudes, and express solidarity with survivors. It features personal testimonies, highlights the issue's scale in Lithuania, and advocates for stronger institutional support and prevention measures.

Denim Day, recognised on a Wednesday in April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, originated from a protest against an Italian Supreme Court ruling that suggested a victim's tight jeans implied consent. The campaign encourages community members and officials to wear jeans as a visible protest against sexual violence.
