Experts` preparatory meeting on the EU Gender Equality Index

The purpose of the Experts' preparatory meeting on the EU Gender Equality Index (EU GEI) is to:

• hold a brainstorming session and to discuss the scope and functions of the Working Group (WG) on the EU GEI,
• discuss existing and future data sources and identify gaps in statistics, and
• hold a discussion on existing national indexes and their components
• 

Main outcomes:

• Proposal for the rules and procedures of a Working Group on the EU GEI to be established by EIGE`s Management Board
• Comments on previous work on gender equality composite indicators
• Recommendations on how to take up the project of the EU Gender Equality Index
