The year 2025 marks an important milestone for the European Union: the thirtieth anniversary of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BPfA), signed in 1995.
As the EU agency for gender equality, EIGE works on a comprehensive report on the steps done since 2019 in the EU. Additionally, after more than 10 years since its launch, EIGE's Gender Equality Index is undergoing an in-depth review, to align its monitoring capacity with evolving contexts and political priorities.
