On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women key results of the EU Gender-based violence survey are revealed during a press briefing held in the Maelbeek Room, at the Residence Palace in Brussels on Monday 25 November 2024 hosted by Eurostat, the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE).
The press briefing opens with a presentation of EU-level findings by Eurostat's Director of Social Statistics, Christine Wirtz, followed by statements of the FRA Director, Sirpa Rautio and EIGE Director, Carlien Scheele. The press briefing closes with a Q&A session.
