EIGE welcomes a delegation of officials and experts from Ukraine and the Netherlands. The delegation includes representatives of key national stakeholders, including the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Social Service of Ukraine, as well as civil society organizations and academics working on gender equality and security. The aim of the visit is to gain practical knowledge about the sectoral implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Lithuania and the EU, in support to the implementation of the III National Action Plan in Ukraine.
In parallel, EIGE's Director Carlien Scheele will have a bilateral meeting with Olesia Bondar, director of the Ukrainian Women's Fund, to discuss the Gender Equality Index for Ukraine, based on EIGE's methodology.
