EIGE’s Brussels Liaison Officer, Sarah Cooke O'Dowd, speaks at the EEAS Strategy Day on Gender Equality and Diversity, participating in the first panel discussion and Q&A on anti-gender backlash from an intersectional perspective.

The purpose of the event is to explore the global, institutional and individual challenges posed by the ongoing gender backlash, and to discuss strategies to address them. It also looks ahead to future trends and the wider geopolitical context. One of the key aims is to strengthen the role of actors within the EEAS’s institutional framework for gender mainstreaming, applying an intersectional approach.
