The Gender Equality Index was first published in 2013 and updated in 2015. It provides both a composite indicator of gender equality attainment at EU level and more detailed analysis of the situation of each Member State in the respective composite domains. The 3rd update of the Gender Equality Index will be published in 2017. It will focus on intersecting inequalities in more detail and will provide a comprehensive measurement framework of violence against women. Within the core of the Index, the domains of power and health will be updated.
Your expertise can provide an invaluable input in the development of the Gender Equality Index 2017. We therefore kindly invite you to the meeting on 19th May 2016 from 09:00 to 17:00 and the networking dinner on 18th May 2016 from 19:00-22:00. The meeting will be held at EIGE, Gedimino pr. 16, Vilnius. The draft agenda and supporting documents will be sent soon.
