EIGE’s Gender-based violence researcher, Monica Barbovschi, joins the 2nd Gender and Drugs Symposium, part of the Lisbon Addictions side event.

The conference is held by the European Drugs and Gender Group (EDG), coordinated by the EU Drugs Agency (EUDA), together with the Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe, together with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) and several drug experts from different countries.

The symposium aims to promote exchanges and reflections among experts for gender responsive interventions in the drug field and analyse key recommendations. EIGE plays a pivotal role in presenting the recent findings from the EU gender-based violence survey and its implication for the dominant topic of the symposium.
