EIGE’s researcher, Irene Rioboo Leston, participates in the 7th International PIAAC Conference, co-organised by the OECD Secretariat and the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports. The event focuses on how new PIAAC data on adult skills including literacy, numeracy and problem solving can strengthen policy making and research.
The conference gathers researchers, policy makers, social partners and business representatives to discuss how PIAAC can help address skills shortages, youth transitions, low adult skills and gender gaps, while considering future needs for the survey. Sessions combine PIAAC-based research with high-level policy discussions linking evidence to action.
