Women and men in decision-making 2007: Analysis of the situation and trends

The report contributes to the implementation of the Commission's Roadmap for Gender Equality (2006-2010), which has amongst its priorities promoting equal participation of women and men in decision-making. The report aims to raise the awareness of the situation. The majority of the data used in this report comes from the database on women and men in decision-making, which is managed and regularly updated by the EC. The report shows that even if EU's efforts to increase women's participation in decision-making have been consistent and certain progress has been achieved, women are still under-represented in all spehers of power in most MS and EU's Institutions.
