Gender Mainstreaming and the European Employment Strategy and Social Inclusion Process
This report reviews the extent to which there is evidence that gender mainstreaming has been adopted within these two processes of social inclusion and employment policy. The focus is on two aspects of gender mainstreaming; first the extent to which a gender perspective is used to inform policy design and implementation, with a view to improving the effectiveness of policy; secondly, the extent to which policy design and implementation is furthering the stated objective of EU policy of promoting gender equality.
