Get involved in the Gender Equality Forum 2024 – send us your proposal!

The Gender Equality Forum 2024 on 10-11 December will be a hybrid event taking place in Brussels at the EGG, with a mix of in-person sessions and fully virtual online sessions. 

What type of session would you like to host?

Thematic strands and focus on youth
What are the most significant gains made for gender equality in the past few years? What were the success factors behind such gains? How can those inform our vision for transition to a just - green and digital – and gender equal EU post-2025? What should be the priorities of a possible future EU gender equality strategy? What are the most important priorities for EU countries to pursue? Under this strand, EIGE welcomes sessions to discuss successes in terms of making gender equality a reality for all, experiences overcoming challenges in terms of policy, legislation resources, gender norms as well as future-looking discussions on what a post-2025 gender equality agenda should entail. Sessions developed around a youth-centric vision and solution focused outlook are particularly welcome.
Where does the EU stand when it comes to eradicating gender-based violence? What is the situation like in the different Member States? What are key trends that we observe? What are some of the promising examples that we can build on? Under this strand, EIGE welcomes sessions to discuss challenges and opportunities to make the EU free from gender-based violence in the home, at work, online and indeed everywhere. Sessions encouraging intergenerational dialogue around common challenges are particularly welcome.
Young people in the EU are faced with a host of challenges from the climate crisis to cost of living crisis, international conflicts, rampant online hatred and more. Sessions under this focus are encouraged to provide an interactive and experience sharing space for the youth to exchange issues related to gender equality close to them, the work they are doing, what impact it is having and their ideas for #3StepsForward towards a gender equal future.

EIGE will carefully review all submitted proposals. We may recommend modifications and changes to your proposal to create a best fit with other proposals. We may also suggest merging proposals addressing similar topics to increase impact and reach. Would you be willing to participate in other sessions, e.g. as a speaker or moderator?
