This study focused on sexual violence against women, including rape, marital rape, sexual abuse and assault, sexual coercion or sexual harassment outside the workplace. It examined the resources used by EU Member States between 2007 and 2010 and used this information to develop a database on sexual violence. The database includes information on sexual violence in the EU from a number of sources, such as: European and international resources; academic studies on different aspects of violence against women; NGOs and their resources; training materials for professionals; information for victims of sexual violence; and awareness-raising campaigns.
