Ahead of the 2024 European Parliament elections, EIGE provides evidence on gender equality in the European and national parliaments and develops practical tools for gender-responsive institutional change.
The results of EIGE’s second assessment of gender equality and gender mainstreaming in the European Parliament and national parliaments in the European Union, include a report and a factsheet with key findings, a data talk with gender sensitivity ratings of parliaments, a methodological report describing the methodological approach, and updated data in EIGE’s Gender Statistics Database.
EIGE also updates its gender-sensitive parliament toolkit with a practical tool on gender equality action plans that provides step-by-step guidance for parliaments to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate gender equality action plans.
