Description

With the aim of increasing practical know-how of EU policy makers and practitioners on gender mainstreaming in the context of the European Green Deal, EIGE revises its methodology and criteria for identifying good practices and selects, in a participatory way, 12 good practices on how to mainstream gender in the European Green Deal policy areas to simultaneously promote a more gender-equal and greener world.

The practices showcase how gender mainstreaming can be effectively implemented in the areas of climate, environment and oceans, energy, transport, agriculture, finance, regional development, industry and research and innovation. The study covers 10 Member States: Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Estonia, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Austria and Sweden.

The selected good practices are available on EIGE’s gender mainstreaming platform. The report Good practices on gender mainstreaming in the European Green Deal: Towards a more gender-equal and greener Europe presents a brief overview of the methodology, the good practices selected, main findings and recommendations for strengthening gender mainstreaming in the European Green Deal.
