This study will focus on assessing the current situation in relation to FGM, including current policies and policy developments on FGM, analysis of available data and data collection gaps on FGM and indicate major trends on FGM in the European Union and Croatia.

The study, to be prepared under this contract, is to provide easily accessible data and assess the existing information on prevalence of FGM in all 27 EU Member States and Croatia, with particular attention to the Member States, where the problem is more widespread. The data available through open sources and information produced by various actors engaged in the process must be mapped. The Contractor is also expected to identify functioning practices, processes, methods and tools preventing FGM for further exchange of information between the relevant actors.
