Contract
The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) envisages awarding a middle-value contract for updating EIGE step-by-step guide to estimate the number of women and girls at risk of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the EU.
Requested services
This study aims to provide more accurate qualitative and quantitative information on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and its associated risks among women and girls living in the EU, ultimately contributing to policy improvements to combat and eliminate this harmful practice. Beginning with a thorough review of the current methodologies used by Member States to estimate FGM risk, the study will broaden its scope to incorporate key contextual factors, including socio-cultural, economic, and political dimensions that influence FGM risk. It will also focus on identifying and assessing available data sources, as well as highlighting promising practices and innovative approaches that can strengthen the EU’s capacity to generate robust, comparable, and actionable data on FGM. The outcomes of this comprehensive process will feed into the development of a sound, robust, and updated methodology to estimate the risk of FGM across the EU.
Procedure
This ex-ante publicity is the first stage of the negotiated procurement procedure through which EIGE may award the above-mentioned contract.
All parties interested in providing the services described above should express their interest through the F&T Portal before the indicated deadline.
Economic operators who do not express their interest before the deadline and to the address above will not be invited to submit an offer. The latter restriction will not apply to the minimum of five economic operators directly invited by EIGE.
