It is our great pleasure to welcome Esther Van Dijk, from the Netherlands, after being elected as Chair of the Board, following EIGE’s 41st Management Board meeting, held on 9-10 November 2023 in Vilnius. Her term starts on 1 January 2024.
After studying Public Administration in Rotterdam, Esther’s career has spanned three decades working in the Dutch government.
Having moved between different ministries, Esther is now Director of Gender and LGBTIQ+ Equality at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
Prior to her appointment as Chair, Esther was a member of the Management Board and the Standing Committee for one and a half years.
