EIGE is pleased to host the Gender Statistics Database experts' meeting, a half-day event focusing on the most recent statistics related to the priorities of the EU gender policy agenda.

The Gender Statistics Database, launched in 2016, aims to address the growing demand for gender sensitive data at both the EU and international levels. With a unique approach, the database provides structured guidance on gender statistics and continues to offer a broad overview for policy and decision-makers to identify, analyse and monitor gender gaps in key policy areas.

The experts' meeting brings together professionals and stakeholders to discuss the integration of an intersectional approach in gender statistics.
EIGE's Gender Statistics Database Officer, Ligia Nobrega facilitates the conversation by highlighting the key findings and its guidelines explored in the Quality Considerations for the Gender Statistics Database (2nd edition).
Moreover, experts examine the importance of this information for policy-making and the potential effects on data collection for the forthcoming development of the Database.

On the occasion, EIGE also celebrates the 21st anniversary of its data collection on Women and Men in decision-making at the EU level and beyond.
