EIGE’s Brussels Liaison Officer, Sarah Cooke O’Dowd, attends the Victims’ Rights Platform meeting and represents EIGE within the European Network on Victims’ Rights, one of the Platform’s members.
The Victims’ Rights Platform meets at least once a year and brings together all relevant EU-level actors to discuss horizontal issues related to victims’ rights.
In the forthcoming meeting, participants discuss the latest developments regarding victims of online fraud, including the Commission’s ongoing and planned actions. They also examine the impact of online fraud on victims, with a particular focus on those subject to psychological manipulation, and address the challenges associated with this type of crime.
