CIP - Confederação Empresarial de Portugal (Business Confederation of Portugal)

The Business Confederation of Portugal is a very large employers' organization. It is one of the four employers’ organizations represented in the Standing Committee for Social Concertation (CPCS), involved in social dialogue at a macro-level. CIP represents employers mainly from the manufacturing industry but also from other industrial sectors of activity (commerce, service activities and construction, for instance), including large companies. It is also a member of CITE – The Commission for Equality in Labour and Employment, and therefore has been involved in social dialogue concerning gender equality and work-life balance issues.
