This handbook is created to fulfil obligation under Cabinet Regulation No.419 adopted 26 June 2007 “Procedures, by which Institutions Involved in the Management of European Union Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund Ensure the Preparation of Planning Documents and the Implementation of Such Funds” article 3.1. Handbook is considered to be GM relevant due its integrated approach for implementation of gender equality. Handbook provides general information regarding gender, gender equality and gender based discrimination. Handbook states that gender perspective should be considered and integrated in EU funds project providing several examples of integrated approach for implementation of gender equality. Handbook emphasizes that successful integration of gender perspective will be key for acquiring of EU funds.
